Trekking in Nepal
The best way to experience Nepals
unbeatable combination of natural beauty and cultural riches
I s to walk though them. One can walk along the beaten trails
or virgin tracks. Either way you are in for an experience
for a lifetime. Along with forests of rhododendron,
isolated hamlets, and small mountain villages,
birds, animals, temples, monasteries and breathtaking
landscapes, you will also encounter friendly people
of different cultures offering a fascinating glimpse
of traditional rural life.
Trekking is possible any time of
the year depending on where you are going. The popular seasons
are spring and autumn. During winter, trekking
is possible at lower altitudes. During the monsoon season,
you can trek in the rain shadow areas north of the Himalaya
like Mustang, Upper Manang and
Dolpo. These places are out
of reach of the rain clouds because of the high mountains
and are unaffected by the monsoon. The best part about trekking
in this season is that the routes are less crowded and if
you happen to be a keen botanist, you will revel in lush
vegetation as meadows blossom in full swing.
Type of
Trekking
Camping Trekking
This classic style of trekking is
accommodate in tents and employ porters to carry your gear
and Sherpas to set up camp, cook, and serves meal. You carry
your small backpack with a water bottle, camera and your day

Typical Day on the camping trek:
The day begins at 6 AM with calls of
a tea, coffee, hot chocolate sir! After the tea finished
you pack your gears, and emerge to have breakfast. While
you are eating, Sherpas take down the tents and pack up
loads for the porters. The entire group is on the way about
7 am. The porters are slower and cook crews (Sherpas) race
ahead to have a lunch waiting. You will between 11 to 12
am to have lunch. Afternoon trek end about 3pm. when you
round ahead to discover your tents already set up in a field
near village. The kitchen crew again prepares tea coffee
soon after arrival in the camp. Later on, you have free
choice to read book or explore surrounding area. Trekking
cooks usually serve western food by 6pm. In this trek, guide

& enjoyable.
