Makalu Expedition (8463 m)

Makalu was first climbed by the French in 1955 and is the world's 5th highest mountain at 8,463m. Situated between Everest and Kanchenjunga, on the Nepali-Tibetan border. Our expedition we'll trek from Tumlingtar, just above the ARUN River to Makalu Base Camp at approximately 5100 meters. We'll ascend via the Northwest Ridge establishing 4 high camps on the mountain. Our strong team will fix ropes as required. Depending on our fitness, we'll be moving up and down the mountain several times, acclimatizing and stocking the higher camps. This expedition is fully supported. Gary Guller will manage the expedition and has considerable experience in the Makalu-Barun National Park

Makalu is a very beautiful but extremely challenging, and potentially dangerous mountain. Barely more than 200 mountaineers have stood on her summit - Makalu should be treated with the utmost respect. The team must work together as a team and stay committed, period.

Dhaulagiri Expedition (8167 m.)
Dhaulagiri is one of the most popular 8000m. peaks for climbing in Nepal. Dhaulagiri expedition offers a nice trek of Dhaulagiri circuit in Annapurna region. Normally, four camps will be set up for climbing Dhaulagiri. Advance base camp will be set up at 5,300m. which is used for depositing the stuff and not as camping due to avalanche danger. Camp I will be set up at 5,900m. on the Col. which requires climbing towards the east from the Advance Base Camp. Camp II will be fixed at 6,400m. which will require stretches of steep climbing. From Camp II, we climb towards west side with steep climbing and arrive Camp III at 7,200m. We then climb towards the East Ridge. When we get over the ridge, we will have to be very careful climbing over the ridge and probably, we will have to face strong wind while climbing and arrive at Camp IV, 7,500m. The climbing of this section is considered the most difficult in the expedition. Then we will push the summit and return to Camp III if everything goes well as planned. If we could not approach the summit from Camp IV due to bad weather or other reasons, we will have to fix bivouac at 7,900m. and next day try to push to the summit.

Ama Dablam and Pumori Expedition

The normal route to climb Ama Dablam is from its South- West ridge. Most of the mountaineering beginners start their climbing through this Mt. Ama Dablam 6812m. Ama Dablam is a small snowcapped peak of 6812m lying in the Everest region. This South – West ridge is the normal and most popular route to ascend the Mt. Ama Dablam.

This mountain is considered to be the technical & difficult for climbing. The mountaineers have to cross-difficult ice rocks and steep snow climbing on their route. Mountaineers usually have to pitch 3 high camps while climbing Ama Dablam 6812m.

The climbers have to pass the toughest and the difficult passing through the saddle ridges and then should turn to the north, climbing up through the rocky ground and through the boulder from base to camp 1.

We are in Camp one now. From Camp I - one has to cross the rocky bowl and should climb the ridge through fixed lines to Camp 2.

The climbing route from Camp 2 is mostly with the steep mixed alleyways of rock, ice and snow. The route leads to the slope following snow ground and then passes through steep snow and ice tunnel then finally along the snow ridge go to Camp 3. From camp 3 to the summit is steep climb on snow and ice to the right of a huge hanging glacier.

From the Top of Mt. Ama Dablam very charming sceneries of Mt. Everest , Lhotse , Island peak, Makalu , Khumbu Himal and rest of the snowcapped surrounded mountains can be envisioned.
