Bhutan

Bhutan, the land of the peaceful thunder dragon. Bhutan lies squarely in the center Himalayas, amid the highest mountains on earth…in its 18,000 square miles can be found such variety of climate and fascinating scenery, such grandeur and peacefulness, very effective fascination of the novel and unknown as few countries its size can boast. Its neighbors are Tibet to north and east, west and south in India.

Due to its relative isolation, the country is not known to the out side world until 1960.Now, Bhutan is the one of the best tourism destination in south Asia. Accommodation
Hotels vary in style and quality. All government approved hotels are clean and well maintained with hot and cold water facilities. All hotels are equipped with telephones, fax machines and international dialing.

Currency
Bhutan's unit of currency is the Ngultrum (Nu), which is at par to the Indian Rupee (100 Chetrum= 1 Ngultrum). One US dollar is equivalent to approximately 48.50 Ngultrum*. Most major foreign currencies are accepted. Travellers cheques, American Express cards and Visa cards are also accepted in certain establishments.

GLIMPSES OF BHUTAN TOUR

2 DAYS PARO / 2 DAYS THIMPU / 1 DAY PUNKHA

Day 01 Arrive Paro. Upon arrival meet with our representative and transfer to Hotel. O/nt at Hotel in Paro.

Day 02 Paro Thimphu. After breakfast visit National Museum, Paro Dzong and Kychu Lhakhang. After lunch transfer to Thimphu. O/nt at Hotel in Thimphu.

Day 03 Punakha/Wangdi Excursion. Early morning drive to Punakha the winter home of Central Monk Body (Je-Khenpo) and Wangdi, visit dzongs and evening drive back to Thimphu. O/nt at Hotel in Thimphu.

Day 04 Thimphu Sightseeing. Morning visit Memorial Chorten, National Library, Painting School, Handicraft shop and shopping. Evening transfer Paro. O/nt at Hotel in Paro.

Day 05 Paro Departure. Early transfer to Airport for onward flight departure.
